…in a good way. I recently applied for a different job at the university where I work. I interviewed and was offered the job. Now for the hard part. I agonized all last weekend over how to tell my current boss that I was leaving. It is a lateral move with a slight increase [...] Well, I will end the suspense. I took the job. I just had a good feeling about the job and the people in the department where I interviewed. So on Monday I will give my two weeks notice. So ends another chapter in my work life. It’s funny, no matter how old I get, [...] Which in this case is a good thing, but stressful. I finally heard from the university where I applied for the new job. Long, long story short…they offered me the job. The human resource person said I was by far the best candidate. The only problem is…they have a very strict, rigid salary structure. [...]
I hope to hear something today. The decision was supposed to be made by the end of the week…and Friday usually is ‘the end of the week’. Unless they can’t get a hold of my references. I can’t get a hold of my references…so maybe they are having trouble too. I will try [...] Well, I am glad that is behind me. Four hours to inverview for a new job.
