On Saturday we drove up with Brammy.  We arrived about 1:30.  I asked my SIL if she had seen the new Twilight movie yet…she hadn’t, so we decided to go [...]]]> I am late with my warm wishes.  We were up in D.C. for the holiday weekend.  We spent time with Bogie’s brother and family.

On Saturday we drove up with Brammy.  We arrived about 1:30.  I asked my SIL if she had seen the new Twilight movie yet…she hadn’t, so we decided to go see Eclipse that evening.  I have read all four books, I liked the 3rd book the best.  After seeing all three movies I also like the 3rd movie the best.

On Sunday we didn’t do much.  I didn’t get up until after 10am.  For some reason I couldn’t sleep the night before, so I slept in.  My sister and brother-in-law made a great breakfast of pancakes (plain and chocolate chip), bacon, juice and fruit.  They saved some for me.  It was delicious.

Then around noon, some of my in-laws friends came over for a barbecue.  Hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled vegetables, salads, cheese, dips and Sangria.  Yum!  And later we had a scrumptious dessert, although I can’t remember the name of it.

After everyone went to bed, my SIL and I stayed up and watched the first Twilight movie.  It was nice to see the first movie after we had seen Eclipse the previous evening.

My SIL is from the Seattle area and I asked her if she had been to Forks, she said that her stepfather was from that area, so she had visited Forks.

We came home on Monday in record time.  I watered our poor lawn, front and back and briefly visited my neighbor.

Then just before we went to bed Bogie and I had a fight.  Not a very good end to the holiday weekend, but we had a good time none-the-less.

We are supposed to have three digit temperatures in the next few days.  JOY!  Stay cool everyone.

I wanted to go to the movies, but we never made it.

Bogey’s cousin and his new wife came for a [...]]]> There is nothing much going on around here.  Hence, not much to blog about.  I spent Labor Day cleaning the house and doing a little yard work.  (Little being the key word here)

I wanted to go to the movies, but we never made it.

Bogey’s cousin and his new wife came for a brief visit on Friday evening.  They live in Atlanta and drove up to see us on the way to D.C.   A long drive for a three-day weekend.  This was the first time meeting his wife.  She seems very nice.  They were both tired when they arrived.  Bogey showed them around town the next morning and then around noon they took off for D.C.   I haven’t seen the cousin in quite some time, so it was a nice visit.

That’s it.  Nothing else new around here.  Hopefully with Labor Day behind us the cooler weather is coming.  Please let the cooler weather arrive.

I hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend. “Fall”, here we come. Yippeeeeeeee!
