Well, I have my airline tickets to Wisconsin purchased. I will spend a week visiting family and friends. Hopefully Wisconsin will be cooler than Virginia. Although August is the hottest month in Wisconsin. But that’s not saying much, August is probably the hottest month in all 50 states.

Bogie will be traveling to Reno the week before I visit Wisconsin. He has a good friend in the Air National Guard he will visit. I worry about him when he visits with friends he had in high school. Will they revert back to the behaviors they had in high school? Even though Bogie is not a big drinker, when he gets with his two friends, it seems to be the first, middle, and last order of business. Bogie tries to steer them toward some cultural activities, but those types of activities are usually in the minority.

I leave for Wisconsin two days after Bogie returns from Reno. It will be a busy two weeks.

Question 1: for you married ladies out there – Does your husband act differently around his friends than he does with you? You know what I mean. With Bogie sometimes it seems like he is more relaxed around his friends than he is with me. When it should be the other way around. Maybe that’s my fault.

Question 2: Are you a high maintenance lady?

Leaves, leaves and more leaves

This is the first round of leaves for the season. Probably 1/10th the amount that will fall (pun intended). Oh, and of course we have the flip side in the front yard. Yes, we do a lot of raking and leaf blowing. And now, since it has rained for 4-5 days in the past week and a half, we need to wait until the leaves dry a little. Joy.

I do love the woods we live in, but the leaves, oh the leaves, they are another story entirely…and not a pretty one.

Fall indeed!

Who do you find attractive?

Lately I see quite a few blogs talking about this hunk or that stud. It started me thinking…could we draw any conclusions about women from the men they find attractive? And I am not talking about cute, pretty, sweet, or mildly attractive here…I am talking about curl your toes, heart missing a beat, hunk-a-li-cious. Let’s just say it’s almost a chemical reaction one experiences when one sees this adonis.

Okay, so have I piqued your interest yet? Another thing I wonder is…do most of us lust after men our own age…or can younger/older men trip our trigger as well? Hmmmm…things to think about.

All that said, here are the men that get my heart beating a little lot faster, curl my toes, fly me to the moon, and…well, you get the idea. In no particular order…

John Travolta…swooning ~~~~

Gary Sinise…the ONLY reason I watch CSI New York…ohhhhhh myyyyyy

Chris Noth…he has the most AMAZING smile and when he does the eyebrow thing…WOW

Robert Sean Leonard (aka Dr. Wilson on the t.v. show House) The most amazing dimple. Period.

These are my guys. To get all four of them in a room with me…well, let’s just say…no one would get out of there in one piece. Yes I know there are many more cute, hunky guys out there. I just don’t find myself drawn to the younger men at all. Now, the older men…well….

Sean Connery…no one holds a candle to this man.

Don’t you wish that life had an ‘Undo‘ button. I was driving in the car yesterday and I spilled my Diet Coke on the floor…I thought to myself, quickly, hit the undo button and all will be right again. Just wipe out the last 2 seconds.

When you make a wrong turn and can’t get back to where you were before the turn…’undo’
Right after you shut the car door, realizing you left the keys in the car…’undo’
When that hurtful comment spews forth from your mouth…’undo’
Waking up hung over…yeah, back in my partying days…a big ‘undo’
Spilling bleach on your new carpet…’undo’
A really bad haircut…’undo’

I remember when Microsoft Word, Excel and the other programs first came out with the ‘undo’ feature. I thot they were brilliant. Now Microsoft, please try your hand at a life ‘undo’ button. Come on you can do it. It wouldn’ have to be big, just a little button you can carry around in your pocket or purse. Maybe it would fit on your key chain. I’ll start things off for you…here is a design I have come up with. Now get to work!
