Making a change

I have been wanting to get my hair cut for awhile now.  It is several inches past my shoulders.  I thot it would be nice to have a lighter, airier hair style.  Hopefully it would take less time in the morning to style.

At a neighborhood party several weeks ago my immediate neighbor to the north of me said that she used to cut hair for a living.  Her mom has a salon in South Africa and she used to work for her.  I asked her if she would cut my hair and she said yes.  I met her mother recently she was visiting for five weeks from South Africa.  I can’t remember which part of the country she lives in though.

We finally set a date for my hair cut.  So yesterday morning I went next door and she gave me the cutest hair cut and style.  My hair also looks healthier now.  It is good for hair to have the spit, dry ends cut completely off from time to time.  I styled it this morning and it took a little less time than usual.  Now I just have to get used to shorter hair.  I have only had it this short, as an adult, one time before, about six or seven years ago.

This isn’t me of course, but it’s the closest picture that shows my new hairstyle.
Mine is just a tad shorter and a few more layers.  But this gives the general idea.

  • What a cute cut! It’s scary- but fun- to try something new with your hair. I got lots of compliments on mine this morning- which helps calms some of my still remaining fears. I take it you never heard anything on Friday about the job?

  • I hope you hear soon. I was afraid at the beinning this wasn’t going to have a good outcome. However it sounds/looks very cute. I have so much catching up to do.

  • Love it! I just cut off several (about 10) inches of my hair when we moved…MUCH less time in the morning ;)

  • I love cute short haircuts. I wish I could go shorter but my face is too round:-(

I’m growing my hair out. Trying to go for a different look. You know me, my hair is too thick to go long. Last time I grew it out to go for a new look was during the summer. I couldn’t stand how hot I would get. So I went to my beautician and had her cut my hair to my short look again. Now I’m trying it with the weather being colder so who knows I may have a new look by the end of the year.

I remember when you had it longer way back when you were bartending out in Ashipun. Chris and Bernie’s bar…remember. I think you might have had a perm in it. It looked good long. I think it just takes awhile to get past that in-between stage. Hopefully the winter will make it easier to grow out your hair.
