Having fun in Wisconsin

Well, I have been in Wisconsin since Saturday and going full speed every day.  Sunday I spent with my mom, two sisters and my brother and their respective families.  On Monday I visited with a friend and then took my friend and her family to my youngest sister’s place on a local Wisconsin lake.  We had a great time.  Spent all of it on the lake.  It was such a beautiful day.  Tuesday my mom and I had lunch at Olive Garden and in the evening I went to see a movie with my oldest sister…Sex and the City (A pre-screening).  On Wednesday I went shopping with my mom at a local mall.  I didn’t buy anything, but almost bought a knock-off purse.  Just a little too steep for me. Then I went to the Brewer Game in the evening.  They played the Atlanta Braves.  The Brewers won 1-0, a pitchers duel.  It was a great game.  Miller Park is a beautiful stadium.  My sister and her husband have season tickets.

That brings us to yesterday.  My mom and I drove to the town where my youngest sister works and had lunch with her.  The town also happens to be where I graduated from high school.  It was nice to drive around a little to see what has changed since the last time I visited.  Last night I went to visit a very dear friend and her husband.  We went to their favorite local Mexican restaurant.  We had a nice time catching up.  She has one dog and three cats.  The dog wanted my to play with her all evening.  She made me miss my dear puppies terribly.

Today, I met an old friend from high school.  She has a private detective agency.  Going strong for 20 years and today was her birthday.  We had a great time reminiscing and catching up with each others family news.  My older sister joined us for lunch.  Tonight my family is going out for a fish fry, very traditional in Wisconsin.  Of course you don’t have to have fish, but someone usually does.

Tommorrow I fly home.  I can’t wait to get home to see my husband and wonderful puppies.  It has been unbelievably hard being away from them for a week.  I needed a break, but couldn’t totally relax because I worry about all of them when I am away this long.  I can’t wait to get home tomorrow.
