My first award.

Well, imagine my surprise when Dory honored me with my first blog award.  Thank you so much.  I have read luckydorito.com since its inception.  I read Dory’s blog when her and I were over at MSN spaces.  I had wanted to start my own website and have a unique URL for quite awhile.  Then when Dory started her own site and moved her blog over, it gave me a shove in that direction.  Thanks Dory!

When I first started blogging, I wasn’t sure what to write about.  There are SO MANY blogs on the internet, I wasn’t sure what I would do with mine to make it unique.  I still haven’t figured that out.

I wanted to be as honest as possible with my blogging, but I found that to be a little difficult at times, since I do not hide the fact that I have a blog from family and friends.  I don’t ever want to hurt my family or friends feelings.  Therefore, it’s sometimes hard to be candid when I write my posts.  I try to be as honest as I can without hurting anyone’s feelings.

Thank you all who take the time to read my blog.  It means a lot to me.  Especially my youngest sister.  It’s nice to be able to have another outlet to keep in touch with her.  So, now I have to nominate five blogs to pass on this award.  Like Dory said in her post…it’s hard to keep it to five, but here goes.

1.  White Hot Magik  (Love to read about her and her family)
2.  John Deere Mom (She is a finalist in the SITS recipe contest, go on over and vote for her)
3.  Susie’s Homemade (This blogger is from Wisconsin, so I have to read her blog, it’s required!)
4.  Noble Pig (Wonderful recipes, and I love that she is following her dream of becoming a winemaker)
5.  Milwaukee Cupcake Queen (Cupcakes, love them, and she is also from Wisconsin…say no more!)

There is the five.  Go and take a look at their blogs.  You won’t be disappointed.  And thanks again Dory for thinking of me.
